I hate knowing that I am a selfish person. A person that thinks about himself and no one else! People who know me might disagree with my point and say that I am caring and thoughtful towards others. I might be caring towards my friends and my relatives but not the ones that need the help that I can offer but I don’t. Don’t you call this selfish?!
People are dying from hunger and thirst and what do I do? I go to the dining table and moan about the food there and start complaining that I don’t like it. This is what I call selfish. I go mad if I missed a meal, what would I do if I lived in places such as Africa? Children there are dying every day from hunger and thirst.. Guess what?! They smile if they found a bread crumb for them to eat. Me, who is not a child anymore will scream for missing a meal. Don’t you call this selfish?!
I look down on people who the same abilities as I do, who think like me. Why do I do that? Just because they are on a wheel chair? They are people who have a goal and are trying their best to get to it, many of them have and many are on their way. I play around and have fun and I look down on them! They are wiser people, they are people with ambition, they are people! Why do I look down on them ! They have faced more obstacles in life than I did and still have a smile on their face. Don’t you call this selfish?!
I know I am a selfish person, but I am willing to change and I am sure I am going to change. I’ll help where I can and where it is needed. My help will make a slight difference. To make a huge difference we have to all unite to help the needed. Helping will erase the feeling of guilt and make you feel better.
I liked it & wanted to share it with you
